The Board of Directors of the Lone Tree Community School District workshop was called to order by Vice President Ogren at 6:32 p.m., October 2, 2024, in the District Office.
PRESENT: Eden, Hotz, Ogren, Sladek (call-in), Viers
ABSENT: None
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Upon motion by Viers, seconded by Eden, it was
RESOLVED: to approve the October 2, 2024 workshop agenda with the modification of moving Assistant Wrestling Coach as the first item of discussion
ALL AYE: Motion Carried
ASSISTANT WRESTLING COACH
Head Wrestling Coach, Brent Nelson, was in attendance to outline the upcoming boys and girls wrestling season schedules and the request to add another assistant coach position.
HVAC DISCUSSION
Discussion held on GO bond schedule, bond timeline, and project evolution. Board asked for update at January workshop after boilers turned on for winter season.
SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SIAC)
Discussion held on September 11, 2024 SIAC meeting minutes and review of general feedback.
DISTRICT GOALS
Discussion held 2024-2025 District Goals in areas of climate and culture, school finance, and learning.
SUMMER 2025 PROJECTS
Discussion held on PPEL and Sales Tax balances and current project list. Board will continue discussions at later workshops.
BOARD POLICY 103, 104, AND 105 (FIRST REVIEW)
Board reviewed updating policies 103, 104 and 105 in preparation for first reading at October regular meeting due to Department of Education desk review.
BOARD POLICY 804.6 & 804.6.R1 (FIRST REVIEW)
Board reviewed new policies 804.6 and 804.6.R1 in preparation for first reading at October regular meeting.
POLICY PRIMER VOL. 32 #4 (SECOND REVIEW)
Board reviewed policy primer updates in preparation for second reading at October regular meeting.
200 SERIES: BOARD OF DIRECTORS (210.1-210.9) (SECOND REVIEW)
Board reviewed policy 200 Series: Board of Directors in preparation for second reading at October regular meeting.
SWOT ANALYSIS
Upon motion by Viers, seconded by Eden, it was
RESOLVED: to table SWOT Analysis discussion to November workshop
