Regina Perry, 76, of Kalona, passed from this life Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona. Private family services will be held at a later date. A general memorial fund has been established. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Regina Perry was born Feb. 21, 1948, in Sturgis, Michigan, the daughter of Ervin Nathanial and Elizabeth (Harrison) Schrock. She graduated from Sturgis High School and moved to Detroit in 1967 and became a Playboy Bunny. She was featured in the August 1969 issue of Playboy magazine. Regina owned a Dodge Super B that won her several drag race trophies in Michigan. In October of 1992 she was united in marriage to Eric Perry in Sturgis. She was a talented artist, working in paints, charcoal, and pencil. Regina was known for her trees crafted out of various metals. She owned and operated Orange Dog Collectibles, located in the Peter Boylan building in Kalona. Peter was a great friend and mentor to her. Folks will remember Regina on her bike with her dog Zoney in the yellow carrier, cruising the streets of Kalona.
Survivors include her husband: Eric of Kalona; her daughter: Leslie Emmons of Lake Station, Michigan; her grand dogs; two sisters: Marsha (Paul) Shepherd and Victoria (Jim) Mumby; two brothers: Richie (John) Schrock and Rick Schrock; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Regina in death were her parents; and her sister: Sharon Snowden.
