Pleasantview held its first yard sale on May 19-20 after doing a little spring cleaning. Mikayla Fisher, Marketing Director, said, “We’ve already decided to do it on an annual basis probably, at least during this building renovation project.”
The community put for sale the furnishings used at the old Friendship Center, as well as any “stuff that had dust on it and hadn’t been moved in a year.” Metal lockers and a tabletop shuffleboard table were among the more unique items that sold first thing Friday morning.
Fisher reported a lot of people and excitement around the sale, which extended throughout the community; shoppers flocked to the individual sales held at the independent living cottages as well.
