PUBLIC NOTICE
The Washington County Board of Supervisors has received a construction permit application for a confinement swine feeding operation, specifically described as follows:
Name of Applicant: 76 Swine LLC
Name of operation: 76 Swine LLC
Location of the operation: Section 23, Township 76 North, Range 9 West, Seventy-Six Township
Type of confinement feeding operation structure proposed: one new 81’2” by 301’ 4” swine confinement building with 8’ deep below building pit
Upon completion of construction the capacity for the entire facility will be as follows: 9,055 head of finished (market) hogs.
Animal Unit Capacity (AUC) of the confinement operation after completion of construction: 3,622 animal units.
The application and plan may be reviewed by the public in the office of the Washington County Auditor, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. through May 13, 2024. On May 14, 2024, the Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on this matter at 9:00 a.m. in the Board’s chambers located at the Washington County Courthouse, 222 W. Main Street, Washington, IA. Public comments may be delivered to the Board of Supervisors at the hearing or to the office of the Washington County Auditor no later than 4:30 p.m. on May 13, 2024.
