Terrisue “Terrie” Sobaski, 70, of Fort Madison, passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2024, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.
She was born July 27, 1954, in Fort Madison, to James and Jean Workman Sampsell. She retired as a conductor on Amtrak. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, trivia and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Terrie is survived daughter: Kristina Sobaski of Kalona; son: Joseph (Sabrina) Sobaski of Nixa, Missouri; four grandchildren: Isabella Sobaski, Ruby Newton, Samuel Newton and Ava Sobaski; sister: Launa Sampsell of Fort Madison; stepsister: Linda (Thomas) Wagenknecht of Bettendorf; and stepbrother: Rick Huff of Fort Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepbrother: Joe Huff.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 26, 2024, at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Dave Poland officiating. A memorial has been established for Washington County Hospice.
