1954 - 2024

Posted

Robert (Bob) Buford Adams was born Dec. 28, 1954, in Newport, Rhode Island, to Lloyd and Paulina (Lambert) Adams. Bob moved to Iowa in 1986 so that he and his wife Linda and their young family could be near extended family.

Growing up, Bob experienced living in various places due to his father's Navy career. He graduated from Overton High School in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1971, and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Breyer State University. Bob was known for his ability to learn anything by reading a book or researching online which was a great asset in the start-up of Farmers’ All Natural Creamery.

Bob's professional career was diverse, including fields such as metal finishing, aviation, critical care paramedic, vending, plant operations, and process management. Most recently he had served as an aerospace chemical processing auditor and private consultant. He was a visionary entrepreneur, always looking for ways to use business to expand God’s Kingdom on earth.

Bob's greatest passion was his love for the Lord and others. He was deeply caring and taught his family to love others as God loves us. Bob entered his eternal adventure with his Lord on June 8, 2024.

He is survived by his wife: Linda (Hershberger) Adams of Tijuana, Mexico; daughter Christina (David) Diller of North English; sons: Jeffrey (Bethany) Adams of Wellman and Nathaniel (Connie) Adams of El Paso, Texas; grandchildren: Maeve, Maverick, and Micaiah Diller, Foster and Remy Adams; sister: Kimberley Adams of South Carolina; brothers and sisters-in law: Wayne (Elaine) Hershberger of Pennsylvania, Barbie (Lynn) Bender of Wellman, Sharon King of Ohio, and Connie (Kevin) Holman of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Foster Walker; older brother: Lloyd James Adams, Jr.; parents-in-law: Ruth and James Hershberger; and brother-in-law: Dave King.
