LeAnn M. Walsh, 78, of Riverside, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at her home in Riverside surrounded by her family.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 3-7 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside with a 2:30 p.m. Rosary Service.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the church.  Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Riverside V.F.W.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of LeAnn.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.  The Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Riverside is caring for LeAnn’s family and arrangements.

            LeAnn Marie Kron was born Nov. 14, 1945, in Iowa City, Iowa the third child of eleven to Ambrose Joseph and Gladys Agnes (Metz) Kron.  LeAnn attended St. Mary’s Catholic School thru her freshman year and then graduated in 1963, from Riverside Public School which was their last graduating class.  On Sept. 18, 1965, LeAnn was united in marriage to Gary Bernard Walsh at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside.  LeAnn worked for First Interstate Bank formerly Kalona Savings Bank for 13 years and then she worked at the University of Iowa Hospital in the business office for 11 years and 11 years at the clinical staff office.  She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and with three other ladies started the S.O.S. Card Club in February of 2012.  LeAnn enjoyed canning, gardening, playing cards and socializing with friends and family.

            LeAnn will be deeply missed by her children: Tami (Dan) Simon of Riverside and Tim (Trisha) Walsh of Riverside; five grandchildren: Brett (MacKinze) Walsh of Riverside, Bailey Walsh of Riverside, Jared Simon of Hills, Dana Simon of Washington and Erin Simon of Washington; one great-granddaughter: Brinley Walsh of Riverside; and siblings: Karen Boddicker and friend, Larry VanLanker of Swisher, Rita (Bob) Foley of Iowa City, Mary Jane Stumpf of Riverside, Betty (Duane) Hayes of Washington, Doris (Dale) Mougin of Columbus Junction, Lois (Nate) Kasdorf of Riverside, Louie (Pam) Kron of Riverside and Dennis (Trish) Kron of Coralville; and brother-in-law: Craig (Kim) Regennitter of Tipton; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

            LeAnn was preceded in death by her parents: Ambrose and Gladys Kron; husband: Gary Walsh; brother: Joseph Kron; sister: Elaine Regennitter; brother-in-law: Terry Stumpf; niece: Amy Regenniter; nephew: Leo Kron; great-nephew: Trevor Burrows; and nephew-in-law: Mark Reiland.
