WASHINGTON
There were approximately 40 Washington County residents who attended the Open House July 11 at the department office in the former Federation Bank Building, Washington, for Jenifer Roberts, who officially became the Department’s new administrator July 1. Roberts, center, previously the director of nursing for the department, was one of four applicants and has been with the department for five years. With her from left are board members Jack Seward Jr, vice chairman, Chairman Andrea Leyden, Karri Fisher, Jenny Morgan and Kodey Salow.
The Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. was informal since Jenifer Roberts not only is well known to the board but also to many of the county residents she has served in her five years with the department that she now will lead. Among her future duties likely will be planning the move for the department to Orchard Hill as part of the plan to relocate county administrative offices by the end of 2025.
