Carol Elizabeth Glick, 83, of Danvers, Illinois, passed away at home on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022. Carol was born in rural Kalona, Jan. 21, 1939, to Ezra and Susan Mast Hochstedler. She married Harley Glick in Kalona Jan. 27, 1957.

Carol was a long-time member of North Danvers Mennonite Church. She loved sewing and quilting and cooking for others and was a great storyteller. Memorial contributions may be made to North Danvers Mennonite Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Harley,  March 9, 2011; two sons: Lowell and Keith; two brothers: Robert and Wayne Hochstedler; and one sister: Laura Hochstedler.

She is survived by four children: Linda (Denny) Waterson of Bloomington, Cindy (Kirk) Novakow of Danvers, Bob Glick of Danvers, and Ron (Sarah) Glick of Washington; her daughter-in-law: Sheri Glick of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; siblings: Donald (Ellen) Hochstedler of Kalona, Jim (Pam) Hochstedler of Kalona, Marlene (Dale) Schrock of Iowa City, Loren (Elvesta) Hochstedler of Kalona, and Twila Swartzentruber of Kalona; one stepsister: Oleta Bollman of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and one sister-in-law: Nancy Hochstedler of Barstow, California.

There will be a visitation for Carol from 4-7 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2023, and her funeral will be at 10 a.m., Saturday January 7, 2023, at North Danvers Mennonite Church in Danvers. Interment will be in North Danvers Cemetery. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home in Danvers is handling arrangements
