Work to repair the pipeline crossing 220th Street in rural Washington County is scheduled to begin Nov. 3 between Spruce and Redwood avenues. The project will stretch approximately 2,600 feet, covering the entire section of 220th Street between the two avenues.

According to the Washington County Road Department, the work is expected to be completed within a week, weather permitting. The westbound lane will be closed within the work area while crews complete the repairs.

Traffic signs will be posted throughout the area, and drivers are urged to watch for them as they approach and travel through the construction zone.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and take alternate routes when possible. Those who need to use 220th Street are urged to drive slowly and safely through the work area.

Mid-American Pipeline is handling the project, and anyone with questions about the roadwork can contact the company for more information.
