Mid-Prairie honored area veterans at their annual Veterans Day Assembly and Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 10.
Numerous veterans from the community gathered, each stating their name and what they wanted the school to know about them or their service. Many were Mid-Prairie graduates.
The school band and choir preformed at the assembly before introducing guest speaker Lieutenant Colonel Darwin D. P. Peterson.
Before finishing the assembly, the school honored students who have already committed to service in the U.S Armed Forces.
After the school played a video for the veterans, the assembly dismissed for a lunch to which the veterans were invited.
