Sharon K. McDougal, 77, of Kalona, passed peacefully from this life Sunday, April 23, 2023, at her home, following a lengthy illness. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Sharon Kay McDougal was born June 13, 1945, in Kalona, the daughter of Leonard and Leta Mae (Parson) Rotenburger. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include two siblings: James (Jackie) Rotenburger of Trenton and Donna (Joe) Fanatia of Kalona; and several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Preceding Sharon in death were her parents; her daughter: Jessica Ann; and two sisters: Lucille Rotenburger and Jane Gatlin; one brother: Gerald Rotenburger; brother-in-law: Donald Gatlin; and nephew: Jeremy Gatlin.
The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.
