Mid-Prairie FFA rates high in leadership events

On February 19, seventeen members of the Mid-Prairie FFA chapter traveled to Oskaloosa to participate in the NW FFA Sub-District Leadership Development Events.

Brynn Younge received a gold and is advancing to district competition in Job Interview where she is interviewing to be a Show Barn Manager. Charlotte Sieren received a gold and is advancing to Districts in Extemporaneous speaking. Peighton Ford received a silver and alternate to Districts in Public Speaking with her speech on "Food Insecurity - A Global Problem".

The Parliamentary Procedures team of Tate Bombei, Ellie Callahan, Stella Janecek, Madelyn Sieren, and Allie Whetstine received a silver rating and advanced to Districts. The Welding Team of Quinn Callahan and Dylan Humphrey received a Gold and advanced to Districts. They received silver as Individual Welders in addition.

The Conduct of Meetings team of Myli Hershberger, Adelyn Huston, Caedyn Huston, Averi Janecek, Kinzlee Kiefer, Bo Pennington and Jason Yoder received a silver rating. Myli Hershberger and Jason Yoder took the Greenhand Test and received silver ratings. Allie Whetstine received a gold for her efforts in taking the Chapter Test and Ellie Callahan and Madelyn Sieren received silver ratings.
