Malon James Beachy passed away Dec. 31, 2021, after battling acute leukemia for a year.
Malon Beachy was born Aug. 21, 1948, at Kalona, the son of John and Edna (Gingerich) Beachy. He was baptized in his youth and was a member of Grayson Mennonite Church.
On Jan. 30, 1976, he was united in marriage to Linda Joy Fisher. They were married for almost 46 years. They lived for most of those years near Kalona and moved to Grayson, Kentucky in 2019.
He is survived by his wife: Linda of Grayson; nine children: Rosanna (Micah) Klippenstein of Kensington, Ohio, James of Chimaltenango, Guatemala, Karen of Dalton, Ohio, Sara (Walter Jr.) Amstutz of Apple Creek, Ohio, Samuel (Mercedes) of Unionville, Missouri, Jesse (Ruthanne) of Grayson, Evan (Christina) of Oconto, Wisconsin, Philip (Rosann) of Athens, Wisconsin and Frieda (Brendon) Halteman of West Liberty, Kentucky; 34 grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters: Melvin and Rhoda of Bradner, Ohio, Carol and Kevin Wenger of Athens, Wisconsin, Jerry and Dorothy of Iowa City, Esther of Stephensport, Kentucky and David of Stephensport.
He was preceded by his parents; and an infant son: Joseph.
