Where's the Beef?

On Tuesday afternoon, a cow escaped from the Veterinary Medical Center of Kalona, leading authorities and staff on an hour chase through town. During its escape, the cow ran through several residential yards and even entered a garage, where it broke a framed Minnesota Vikings football jersey. After leaving the garage, it continued into downtown Kalona and another backyard, where it kicked one of the veterinarians attempting to contain it. The cow was eventually sedated and safely captured after about an hour.
