The Wellman City Council met in regular session at the Wellman City Hall Council Chambers at 5:30 pm. Mayor Ryan Miller presided with the City Administrator, City Clerk and the following Council Members: Angela Stutzman, Fern Bontrager & Shannon McCain; Aaron Fleming & Nathan Klostermann was absent. The Consent Agenda was approved by Bontrager, seconded by Stutzman and all present voted ayes. The consent agenda includes the agenda, minutes from the previous meeting and the following:

In public forum, Nathan Fick questioned when the Water Project was going to be completed.
Resolution No. 26-28 A resolution authorizing the City of Wellman, Iowa to apply for a grant from the WCRF for the purpose of obtaining financial assistance for Tennis/Basketball & New Pickleball Rehab Project was introduced and caused to be read. McCain made a motion to approve Resolution No. 26-28, Stutzman seconded and upon roll call the vote was 3 ayes: Fleming and Klostermann absent.
Resolution No. 26-29 A resolution authorizing the City Clerk to transfer funds was introduced and caused to be read. Bontrager made a motion to approve Resolution No. 26-29, Stutzman seconded and upon roll call the vote was 3 ayes: Fleming and Klostermann absent.
Discussion on employee 2nd employment (part-time) was had.
McCain made a motion to approve #6 Pay App for KE Flatwork, Stutzman seconded the motion and all present voted ayes.
With no further business to be discussed Stutzman moved to adjournment at 5:51pm, Bontrager seconded and all present voted ayes. The next regular City Council Meeting will be on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 5:30pm in the Council Chambers of the Wellman Municipal Building.
