Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors for Washington County, Iowa will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM in the Board of Supervisors Room, located at Orchard Hill Building 3 - 2175 Lexington Blvd, Washington, Iowa. The purpose of this hearing is to consider an application for approval of a Minor Plat subdivision of an existing tract in the unincorporated area of Washington County. The proposed subdivision is located on the Highway G36 exit just off Highway 218. The application for the subdivision was submitted by MidAmerican Energy Company, P.O. Box 657 Des Moines, IA 50306. The owner is dividing this tract of land into three lots for the purpose of a MidAmerican Energy Substation.

AUDITOR PARCEL A IN THE NORTHWEST FRACTIONAL QUARTER OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 4, TOWNSHIP 75 NORTH, RANGE 6 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., WASHINGTON COUNTY, IOWA AS RECORDED IN INST. NO. #2001-2282 OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY RECORDER’S OFFICE.”

All persons interested in this application may appear at said hearing and present evidence for or against the application for approval of the plat. Written evidence concerning the application may be delivered to the Subdivision Coordinator in the County Auditor’s Office Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., until September 22, 2026.
