With recent paving and improvement projects underway, Johnson County Secondary Roads announced that Morse Road NE, which has been closed since Monday, August 10, is expected to remain closed through Thursday, August 13. The road will reopen Friday, August 14, weather permitting.

Because of the closure, a detour has been set up that will direct traffic from Highway 1 to 210th Street, then to Turner Avenue before connecting back to Morse Road.

The project has been in the works for some time and is included in the Secondary Roads five-year construction plan approved by the board of supervisors in April.
