Wellman

Following his arrest earlier this year, Willie Garrett, 48, of Wellman is scheduled to stand trial on July 28.

Garrett was taken into custody March 31 after the Washington County Sheriff's Office responded twice to the same residence.

According to previous reports, deputies first received a call around 4 p.m. after a neighbor reported that a child had come to their home and alerted them to a possible domestic assault.

Authorities returned to the residence at approximately 6:30 p.m., when Garrett was arrested.

Garrett faces multiple charges, including third-degree kidnapping, domestic abuse assault, child endangerment and other related offenses. 

He remains in the Washington County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
