Washington County Hospital and Clinics (WCHC) will host a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic for children, ages 5-18, on Friday, December 3. The Pfizer Vaccination Clinic will be held in the Administrative Services Building at Washington County Hospital from 2-6 p.m.

To schedule a time for a COVID-19 vaccine, parents/guardians can schedule a time for their children online at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/WCHCYouthVaccineClinic. Parents will be prompted to schedule both the initial dose on Friday, December 3 and the second dose to be given on Monday, December 27.

Individuals over the age of five are eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Children receiving the vaccine must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. While there are no out-of-pocket costs, insurance cards will be requested.

A confirmation email will be sent to those scheduled for a vaccine appointment with additional information and directions to vaccine location. Parents should allow time for a 15-minute observation period following administration of the vaccine.

Pediatric COVID vaccines may also be available through Washington County Public Health and local pharmacies including Hy-Vee and Wal-Mart Pharmacies. Please contact WCPH at 319-653-7758 or visit www.washph.com for Covid Vaccine clinic locations and times or visit pharmacy websites for availability by location and appointment scheduling.
