The Lone Tree girls finished third out of 10 teams in Class B at WACO’s Ekstrand Relays on Thursday, led by first-place finishes from Rylee Shield in the 400-meter dash (1:04.37) and Vivian Zaruba in the 1500-meter run (5:53).
The Highland girls finished fourth with individual golds from Mackenzie McFarland in the 100-meter dash (13.63), Jessica Kraus in the discus (104-0), and Sarah Burton in the long jump (16-6).
Lone Tree and Highland finished 1-2 in the sprint medley and Hillcrest was second in the distance medley.
The Raven girls took seventh with first-place finishes from Malia Yoder in the high jump (4-8), and Leah Bontrager in the 800 (2:32).
The Highland boys finished fifth led by Devin Lovetinsky, who won the shot put with a toss of 44-7.75. The Huskies finished first in both the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays.
The Lone Tree boys were second in the 4x200-meter relay and shuttle hurdle relay, finishing sixth overall.
