The Mid-Prairie School District will be celebrating Mark Schneider’s retirement as superintendent on Thursday, June 16 from 4-7 p.m. The reception will take place at Mid-Prairie High School in Wellman, in the Multi-Purpose room.
Folks can grab a cookie or cupcake and punch, sit down, relax, and swap stories about Mark.
“I envision Mark going around from table to table so he can listen to the stories, and probably share some of his own,” comments Gabby Frederick, organizer of the event.
After 34 years of service to the M-P School District, Schneider has always remained an amiable, respectable person. There will be a number of pictures of Schneider over time, and there are plans to have a photo booth to help memorialize the event.
There will also be a “Thoughts for Mark” table at the celebration, where folks can jot down memories of him, retirement wishes, or thank you notes. Eventually, all those notes and photos will be pieced together in a scrapbook for Schneider.
Schneider has made it very clear that he will still be a big part of our community. He may not be the superintendent anymore after June, but you can guarantee he will continue to be supportive of M-P students and this community! Once a Golden Hawk, always a Golden Hawk!
