Not pictured is Emily Righter. Eight Mid-Prairie High School musicians joined peers from other River Valley Conference schools to perform at the Honor Band Festival Concert in Tipton on November 13. Nominated by their directors, students practice selected pieces for a few weeks before coming together for an afternoon of rehearsal the day of the concert. Steve Stickney, former Director of Bands at Mount Mercy and current Coordinator of Music Recruitment and Outreach, was the guest conductor of the band.
