Lyle Dean Greiner, 65, of Riverside, Iowa died peacefully in his sleep, Jan.  15th, 2022. He was born Feb. 10, 1956, in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of Donald and Edith (Stanbrough) Greiner of Richland, Iowa.

Lyle married Tamara Lee Hahn on Aug. 9, 2004, in Washington, Iowa. They raised their family and resided in Riverside for the past 18 years.

Lyle was the father of Cody (Cortney) Greiner of Williamsburg, Bobby (Trisha) Greiner of Ainsworth, and Mandy Greiner; and stepfather of Nikolas Hahn and Dallas Petersen, both of Riverside; and daughter: Jordan (Jeremy) Miller, Wellman.

Lyle was the proud grandpa to Mason, Henlee, Michael, Decker, JoJo, Hayden, McKinley, Jarrett, and two more on the way.

Lyle enjoyed camping with family (he and his son Cody were the Grill Masters) riding his motorcycle with Tami, watching his grandson Mason play sports, sitting around the campfire and going to watch his son Bobby and grandson Michael compete with their pulling tractors. Lyle never knew a stranger and was always there to help a friend. He never missed out on a chance to eat “all you can eat” catfish and butter beans. He was especially loved by his grandkids. They loved their Grandpa Lyle.

Lyle was a retired Iron Worker with the local 89 and a skilled welder. He made many lifelong friends through the brotherhood. He had fond memories of working alongside his brother-in-law Tim. He enjoyed sharing stories of being an Iron worker.

Lyle’s family also include his brother: Ronnie (Teresa) Greiner of Ainsworth; sisters: Charlotte (Bob) Lisk  of Richland, Carol (Scott) Riggan of Riverside; in-laws: John and Pati Hahn of Riverside, Tim (Sue) Hahn of Rochester, Todd (Debbie) Hahn of Riverside, Kari Sue Hahn of Nichols, Ted (Teresa) Hahn of Ainsworth, and Tommy (Patty) Hahn of Bremerton, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Bernadine (Coady) Greiner.
