Seeing Lone Tree on the front page of the newspaper last week and reading the article made me more upset with the City Council of Lone Tree.
IDRC performed a mini downtown assessment of Lone Tree. It found several things that are hurting the looks of Lone Tree: dirty water tower, trash cans in front of businesses, vacant old buildings that are falling apart.
These are a few things mentioned that the City needs to address and spend money on to clean up to try and make Lone Tree a more desirable place to live and want to visit.
But instead, the City Council approves to spend close to $78,000 for a stupid sign when you come into town.
That is to me a waste of money. The town needs to use that money to clean up the looks of downtown first and make it more desirable for people to want to have a business here. But that’s just my opinion.
