Karen Kay White was born June 29, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Catherine (Williams) Adams. Karen grew up in Solon and moved to Lisbon. She was united to Dale White in 1959 and eventually moved to rural Wellman. She worked at the Kalonial Townhouse, Hy-Vee as a demonstrator and Mid-Prairie High School kitchen, so she could keep track of the grandkids.

She enjoyed working with the Wellman Boy Scouts as an assistant leader and enjoyed crafts, family dinners and just talking with people.

On Nov. 26, 2024, she passed away at Parkview Care Center, Fairfield, Iowa at the age of 82 years.

She is survived by two children: Lisa (Bob) VonSpreecken of North English and Lois (Stephen) Keller of Fairfield; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother: Kenneth Adams (Roberta) of Clinton, Illinois.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son: Lee White; and a grandson: Matthew Keller.

A celebration of life service was held Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024, at the Yoder-Powell Funeral Home in Kalona. Burial will be in the Sharon Hill Cemetery.
