• For ALL ages: Help the library and our community get ready for the Annual Quilt Show April 28-30! We are making a quilt that will be “pieced” together in our windows! Color a quilt square that you can pick up at the library, The News office, or download and print at home from our website. Colored quilt squares should be returned to the library or The News office no later than April 25!

• Linda McCann, Iowa author and speaker will be at the Kalona Public Library on Tuesday, April 26 at 6 p.m. presenting and discussing her book “Prohibition in Eastern Iowa”.

New adult fiction: “Hook, Line and Sinker” by Tessa Bailey; “The Match” by Harlan Coben; “The Kitchen Front” by Jennifer Ryan (Large Print); “The Unsinkable Greta James” by Jennifer E. Smith; “High Stakes” by Danielle Steel.

New adult non-fiction: “Fat Girls Hiking: An Inclusive Guide to Getting Outdoors at Any Size or Ability” by Summer Michaud-Skog; “The Invisible Kingdom: Reimagining Chronic Illness” by Meghan O’Rourke.

New junior fiction: “Isaiah Dunn is My Hero” by Kelly J. Baptist; “Storm on Snowbelle Mountain” by Rebecca Elliott; “Hamlet and Cheese” by Megan McDonald; “Dog Star” by Megan Shepherd; “Pick Your Own Path on the Oregon Trail” by Jesse Wiley.

New junior graphic novels: “Allergic” by Megan Wagner Lloyd; “Cat Kid Comic Club: On Purpose” by Dav Pilkey; “The Dragon Path” by Ethan Young.

New easy books: “I Yam a Donkey” by Cece Bell; “Narwhal and Jelly” by Ben Clanton; “Hundred Years of Happiness” by Thanhha Lai; “A Book for Escargot” by Dashka Slater.
