Gordon D. Marner passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2021 in Auburn, Michigan. Gordon was born Aug. 8, 1936, in Kalona, Iowa, to the late Omar and Lottie Marner.

Gordon worked over 40 years as an X-ray Technician at both St. Mary’s and Midland Hospital. He met Marge while they were both working in the medical field. Gordy was a member of the Auburn Lion’s Club, enjoyed annual trips to the family farm in Kalona, fishing trips and deer camp with neighbors and friends, early morning coffee club and always being first to church. Gordon and Marge were long-time members of Grace Lutheran Church. Gordon enjoyed his retirement driving local friends to appointments, working out at Auburn PT and traveling with Marge to Hawaii, Alaska, the Western U.S. and camping in their fifth wheel across Michigan.

The family is thankful for the care Stratford Pines of Midland provided Gordon in his last years and special care from Mid-Michigan Hospice and Bayside in his last days at home.
