Fedler, Hora, Mangold win primary elections

With a light turnout in the Primary elections on Tuesday, June 7, Washington County voters gave Heather Hora the opportunity to run as a Republican in the November election for Iowa House District 92. She will face Democrat Ty Bopp who was unopposed in the Primary.

Hora defeated Washington Mayor Joran Rosien 1,181 (60.8%) to 758 (39.07%) in the Republican Primary.  Bopp got 490 (88.59%) and there were 7 write-ins and 95 undervotes.

Teresa Mangold received 1,226 (70%) votes for county recorder on the Republican ballot to 523 (29.89%) for Dawn Fall-Hayes. There were 25 write-ins on the Democrat ticket.

 Incumbent Marcus Fedler, Ainsworth,  narrowly defeated former Riverside Mayor Bill Poch 95 (50.65%)  to 190 (49.35%) on  Repubican Primary Ticket for Washington County District 3 Supervisor.

In Johnson County, John Green of Lone Tree, Lone Tree edged out V Fixmer-Oraiz 8,495 to 8,199 votes to win the Democrat Primary for Johnson County of Supervisors. Sent Zimmerman  received 7,827 votes.
