HILLS
The Hills City Council gathered for their regular meeting on Monday, July 22. The meeting was held at the Hills Fire Department, as the community center is currently being painted.
The board took note of a few public comments in relation to the status of crosswalk and parking spaces painting. The board also addressed a comment about the former Hills Elementary, and if there were any updates. Mayor Tim Kemp stated that the school board had not contacted them, and that there is no new information.
The council also moved to table a large budget item, construction on Iowa Street. There will be resurfacing of the street sometime between August and September. The resurfacing should not impact bus routes when school begins mid-August.
The Hills City Council will convene next on Monday, August 12 at 7 p.m.
