Esther Irene Rogers, 86, of Rogers, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.
She was born June 26, 1938, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Ella and Walter Lemley.
Esther was united in marriage to Kenneth Rogers in Iowa City, Sept. 14, 1957.
Esther was employed at Eagle Food Store for more than 30 years as cashier and head cashier.
Esther was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Esther loved to garden, cook, sew, take walks with her dogs, and visit with neighbors.
Esther is survived by son: Mike and wife Christine of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter: Deb Wagamon and husband Randy of Centerton, Arkansas; grandchildren: Sara (Vincent) Keenan, Ashley Rogers and Sean Wagamon; great-grandchildren: Quinn, Autumn and Vincent Keenan; sister: Clara Sammons Kalona; sister-in-law: Linda Lemley; brother-in-law: Ron Flake; and her dogs Bruno and Layla.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband: Ken; parents: Walter and Ella Lemley; in-laws: Elmer and Velma Rogers; siblings: Wayne Lemley, Veda Powell, Butch Lemley, and Rebecca Flake; brothers-in-law: Maynard and Larry Rogers, Elmer Sammons and Jim Powel; and sisters-in-law: Colleen and Joan Rogers.
