Clair J. Marner, 90, of Shipshewana, Indiana, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 at his residence. He was born Dec. 12, 1931, in Parnell, Iowa, to John E. and Lydia (Yoder) Marner. On Oct. 30, 1955, in Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania, he married Juanita Miller.

Clair was a farmer and truck driver. He graduated from Iowa Mennonite School and was a member of Shore Church. He enjoyed woodworking and attending to his flower garden and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     He is survived by his wife: Juanita; son, Ron Marner of Middlebury; three daughters: Linda Yoder of Plymouth, Indiana, Karen (Mike) Unternahrer of Middlebury, Deb (Clint) Kauffman of Winamac, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister: Elizabeth (Joe) Kanagy of Wellman, Iowa; and brother: Marvin (Helen) Marner of Hills, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Verda, Lucille, and Lois Marner; a brother: Lowell Marner.

The family will hold private services. Burial will be at a later date in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana.
