Bulltown Baseball and Nitro Softball are non-profit competitive USSSA baseball and softball organizations whose goal is to help develop the character of young people in the Mid-Prairie School District through the game of baseball and softball.

The mission of the two organizations is to provide the youth of Kalona, Wellman, and surrounding communities within the Mid-Prairie school district the opportunity to learn and play baseball and softball while promoting life skills of leadership, integrity, and sportsmanship.

Bulltown Baseball is open to youth of all skill levels from ages 8U-14U within the Mid-Prairie school district. Nitro Softball currently has 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U teams.

These teams begin practice in the spring and participate in tournaments in the months of April, May and June. Each team hosts at least one home tournament in Kalona and then also travels to other tournaments in and around eastern Iowa.

For anyone who would like to get involved with Bulltown Baseball or Nitro Softball, they just need to email bulltownbaseball@gmail.com or mpnitrosoftball@gmail.com to get started.

Both Bulltown and Nitro are opening recruitment for the 2023 season soon and check out both organization’s Facebook pages for more information.
