Wellman-Scofield Public Library is open by appointment to limit the number of contacts and to ensure patrons and staff remain safe and healthy.

One person/family is allowed into the library for 30 minutes, after which the library will be properly cleaned and sanitized.

Children are not to be left unattended as there are no toys or computers available.

  Call 319-646-6858 to schedule a time.

Curbside pickup will be continued for anyone wishing to use this service.

New adult fiction: “A Walk Along the Beach” by Debbie Macomber; and “The Girl from Widow Hills” by Megan Miranda.

New young adult: “Clean Getaway” by Nic Stone.

New junior fiction: “Dragon Bones” by Lisa McMann; “The Turnover” by Mike Lupica; and “How to Test a Friendship” by Theanne Griffith.

New easy reading: “Runaway Signs” by Joan Holub; “Max Explains Everything: Puppy Expert” by Stacy McAnulty; “Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt” by Kate Messner; and “Violet the Pilot” by Steve Breen.
