The Washington Economic Development Group (WEDG) will receive a Business Expansion and Retention Award from the Professional Developers of Iowa (PDI).
WEDG, along with Washington County, worked with Premier 1 Supplies to obtain a RISE grant to help build 2.8 miles of paved road to their facility.
Premier 1 (owners Stan and Jean Potratz and Ben Rothe), the Washington County Board of Supervisors, County Engineer Jacob Thorius, City Administrator Brent Hinson and former WEDG executive director David Collins participated in the project.
