Tad Ford, 40, of Lone Tree, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Tad gave the gift of life to others by being an organ donor.  A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 4-8 p.m., at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Service of Lone Tree.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in memory of Tad.   Sympathy notes may be left for the Ford family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Thaddeus H. Ford was born Dec. 1, 1980, in Iowa City, the son of Pat and Deborah (Forbes) Rodgers.  He was a 2000 graduate of Lone Tree High School.  Tad was united in marriage to Tami Morrison July 24, 2012. 

He was a correctional officer at the Iowa Medical and Classification Center.  Tad enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to car shows and working on cars.  He especially enjoyed cars from the 60s and 70s, and old Ford farm trucks.  Tad was proud of his collection of cars including two Galaxy’s and a Road Runner.

Tad will be greatly missed by his wife: Tami of Lone Tree; siblings: Kathy Ford of North Liberty, Rob (Jen) Ford of State Center, Braden (Corey) Eldridge of Marengo, Abby (Jimmy) Hillyer of Lone Tree, Rebekah (Scott Goodno) Rodgers of Coralville, Leah (John Bergrud) Rodgers of Iowa City; father: Bob Ford of Lone Tree; mother: Deborah Han of Nichols; birth father: Pat Rodgers of Coralville; grandmother: Mary Lou Baker of Kansas City, Missouri; mother-in-law: Connie Morrison; and brother-in-law: Dan (Rebecka) Morrison of North Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father-in-law: Larry Morrison; and niece: Alyson Eldridge.
