Farmers and crop advisers are invited to attend the Southeast Iowa Agricultural Research Association annual meeting, which will be held virtually this year via Zoom on Tuesday, March 4, at 8 a.m.
The annual meeting will feature the following topics and speakers: “A Review of the 2020 Activities and Plans for 2021 at the Southeast Research and Demonstration Farm,” by Cody Schneider and Myron Rees, research farm co-managers; “ISU Research Farms Update,” by Mark Honeyman, associate dean for operations for the Iowa State Research Farms and Tim Goode, director of ISU research farms; and “ISU On-Farm Demonstration Trials Overview and Results from 2020,” by Mike Witt, ISU Extension and Outreach field agronomist.
“The purpose of the association and the farm is to conduct research that will help local farmers operate in a manner that is both economically profitable and environmentally responsible,” said Rebecca Vittetoe, ISU extension field agronomist. “The meeting will review activities over the last year and plans for 2021.
Participants are invited to make suggestions for future research.”
Following the conclusion of the meeting, the Southeast Iowa Agricultural Research Association board of directors will meet.
There is no cost to participate, but registration is required and can be completed by going to https://bit.ly/3jfqnjG.
