Schnoebelen Inc. was approved by the Highland school board for snow removal at the elementary school this winter.
The contract is for removal of snow when there is one inch or more. Already there have been two days this year with plowable snow.
The contract is for $90 per hour.
“We have tractors with blades on the back and loader with large buckets on the front,” Ralph Schnoebelen wrote in his bid for the work.
Schnoebelen will charge 50 cents per pound for ice melt used on sidewalks, driveways and the playground.
The bid noted that Schnoebelen has been doing snow removal for more than 41 years.
