Republican Bobby Schilling is running for Iowa’s 2nd District for U.S. representative. The primary is June 2.

Schilling is from the Quad Cities, which includes Iowa and Illinois. His father was raised in Iowa. His grandfather had a jewelry store in Cedar Falls. Bobby was born in Illinois.

Bobby was elected as an Illinois U.S. representative serving two terms. When tax-heavy Illinois tripled his taxes on his home and his business, Bobby decided to move across the river into Iowa.

Schilling believes life begins at conception and should be protected. He is endorsed by the National Right to Life and Susan B. Anthony list. His opponent has proclaimed, she is “pro-choice” and “that decisions should be between a doctor and a patient.” Abortion is appropriate “from a medical standpoint, between six and 12 weeks.”

Bobby used to have to drive his veteran father to Iowa City numerous times to get VA care. So Bobby purposed a bill in which veterans can use their own doctors instead of enduring long VA waits. Schilling got his bill unanimously voted into law 426-0.

Recently, Schilling’s opponent is displaying a photo of Schilling and Obama. It was not from an Obama rally, as his opponent misleads. When Obama came to Bobby’s district, he respectfully had his picture taken with the president.

Bobby is a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights. He consistently is graded higher from the NRA and Gun Owners of America than his opponent. Many gun manufacturers support him.

He conceal carries and owns guns which he uses for protection of his family and property.

After Trump’s election, Schilling, along with Sen. Grassley and others, wanted an investigation into Trump because he believed that an investigation would clear Trump quickly. Unfortunately, fake Russian investigation cost the taxpayers $32 million.

Bobby is a staunch Trump supporter. Jim Jordan and Rick Santorum have endorsed Bobby. Jim Jordan is a huge supporter of Trump and wouldn’t endorse anyone that’s not a grass-roots conservative. Bobby has served with them in Congress.

As a small business owner, Bobby knows how to set a budget.

When Schilling was in Congress, he slept in his office to save money. Bobby turned down his congressional pension and government paid health insurance. He believes elected officials shouldn’t be treated better than taxpayers.

In 2012, Bobby flipped the Democrat-held congressional seat – held blue since the 1960s. Miller-Meeks has lost elections in 2008, 2010 and 2014.

We the people need our voices to be heard. Republican Bobby Schilling is running for Iowa’s 2nd District for U.S. representative. The primary is June 2.
