Ruby Darlene Perezek, 99, of Lone Tree, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Bickford Senior Living in Iowa City. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Lone Tree. Burial will be held at Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Riverside in memory of Ruby. Ruby Darlene Rath was born on Jan. 30, 1922, in Riverside, the daughter of Charles and Clara (Vogt) Rath. She graduated from Riverside High School in 1939.
She was united in marriage to Leslie Perezek on Oct. 31, 1939, in Iowa City. They lived on the family farm north of Lone Tree before moving to town in 1982.
Ruby was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and was the pianist for Sunday School and Youth Fellowship. She enjoyed visiting with friends, music, sewing, gardening, flowers, and the outdoors.
Ruby will be deeply missed by several nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Leslie in 2002; two brothers and two sisters.
