Add another top-10 finish and a new season best to the list for Leah Bontrager as she led the Hillcrest Academy girls team to a sixth-place finish at Center Point-Urbana.
Her time of 23:35 is the best time in school history at the course, shattering the old record set by Calli Shaw at 24:59 in 2015 according to Hillcrest Academy coach Marty Gingerich.
Sarena Gerber was 25th in 25:05.
Chloe Staley was the No. 3 runner for Hillcrest Academy, finishing in 46th in 28:26. That time gives Staley a new personal best by nearly 30 seconds.
Taryn Leichty was 54th in 29:32. Julia Boller ran a 30:52 to place 59th.
Ainsley Shaw took two minutes off her season best to run 39:10.
The girls scored 136 points, for sixth of six teams.
The team title was won by Marion at 53 points, beating Center-Point Urbana out by five places for the team title.
The boys team ran with only four runners so they did not place in the team race.
Collin Miller was the top runner for the Ravens. He finished with a time of 23:41 in 70th place.
One minute behind him was Owen Swartzendruber, who was 74th in 24:44. Jesse Slater was on the heels of Swartzendruber, finishing in 24:52 in 75th. Toby Chen was 76th in 24:59.
