The Hillcrest girls cross country team put two runners in the top 10 at English Valleys last week.
Leah Bontrager was fourth in 23:37 and Sarena Gerber 10th in 25:50.
According to Hillcrest Academy coach Marty Gingerich, Bontrager and Gerber improved their times at this meet by a minute from last year.
Taryn Leichty was the No. 3 runner in a time of 30:31, Julia Boller 37th in 31:34 and Ainsley Shaw 59th in 44:48.
The Ravens tied for fifth, but because Wilton had a sixth runner they won the tiebreaker.
The Hillcrest boys team finished finished seventh of eight teams with Colby Harris emerging as the team’s No. 1 runner.
Colby Harris was 22nd in 22:33 to lead the team. Owen Swartzendruber 35th in 24:30. Jesse Slater and Toby Chencame in close together in 36th and 39th. Collin Miller was the final Hillcrest Academy runner with a time of 26:19 in 45th place.
