Pops & (no) Pie concert a success

The Mid-Prairie choir presented its annual Pops & (no) Pie concert in the High School Gym “socially distanced” as were the parents, grandparents and friends in the bleachers on Thursday, February 25.

The concert was under the direction of Collette C. McClellan with piano accompaniment by Luetta Ropp.

The Meader Family – Ben, Bekah, Elizabeth, Kaden and Sarah – opened the concert by singing “Sanctuary” by Scruggs. Emilia Harmston sang “The Village” by Wrabel.  Next the Lyrica choir sang “The Rose” arr. by Knowles.

Rhiannan Panknen sang “Used to Be Mine” by Bareilles. Liv Caskey sang “Would You Be So Kind” by Clark. Kyra Helmuth and Ben Meader sang “More Than Words” by Bettencourt.

That was followed by the Lyrica Choir presenting “Fireflies” arr. by Brymer. Isadora Goode, accompanied by Brenna Goode, sang “Soldier, Poet, King” by Heath.

Grace Conway, Ana Fleming and Phoebe Shetler teamed up to sing Emerson’s “Lollipop. Cooper Thomas sang “Creeks” by Bon Iver and Essie Martin sang “Let My Heart Be Quiet” by Schopf.

The Lyrica choir followed with “Ghost Ship” by Besig. “It’s Raining Men” arr. by Gilpin was presented by Emily Marner, Grace Conway, Elizabeth Sansen, Elizabeth Meader, Phoebe Shetler Emil Harmston, Liv Caskey, Kyra Helmuth and Myah Lugar.

Grace Allred sang “IDK You Yet” by Glantz.  Mia Garvey and Micaela Ghumm sang “Counting Stars” arr. by Brymer.  Jenny Sanchez sang “Corre” by Joy.  Alexander Burnham, Gavin Frascht, Sam Harris, Terra Richardson and Cooper Thomas presented “Honeybee” arr. by Liu.

“Your Hands” by JJ Heller was sung by Kaelyn Brady.

The Mixed Chorus presented “Where is Love” arr. by Huff. Elizabeth Sansen & Emily Marner sang “I’ll Think of You” by Schneider. “Til There Was You” by Willson was sung by Avery Slaubaugh.   “The Awkward Duet” by Clark was sung by Liv Caskey & Terra Richardson.

“Dancing on my Own” by Berger was sung by Cera Harsch. That was followed by Kyra Helmuth and Cooper Thomas singing “Only Us” by Paul.

The program concluded with the Mixed Choir singing “Stand in the Light” arr. by Emerson.
