In her first event at the state track meet, Mid-Prairie freshman Danielle Hostetler won a state championship — finishing the 3000-meter run in 10:25.26.  Sydney Yoder also claimed a medal in the race with a fourth place finish. 

Mitzi Evans lowered the Mid-Prairie school record to 57.38 in the 400-meter dash, finishing third. She also guaranteed herself a medal in the 200-meter dash, advancing to Saturday's final with a sixth-place finish in the prelims. 

Jamison Stutzman earned a medal in the 3200-meter run with a late kick, finishing eighth in the race with a time of 9:58.28. He finished .14 seconds ahead of the ninth-place runner.
