Paulette F. Wehr, 67, of Sigourney, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
Paulette was born July 18, 1954, in Fort Riley, Kansas, to Kenneth and Lois (Lowry) Fogle. She attended Tri County School through the 5th grade and graduated from Sigourney High School in 1972. On Sept. 2 ,1972, she married Robert E. Wehr in Sigourney.
She did babysitting and house cleaning, was a dental assistant at Kapple Dental, office manager at Hickenbottom Construction and sales associate at Fragrance Outlet in Williamsburg.
Paulette was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney, the Altar and Rosary Society, Listen-A-Bit Club and Silver Buckles Dance Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
Survivors include three children: Nickolas Wehr, Jill Wehr and Erik (Brandi) Wehr, all of Sigourney; nine grandchildren: Nolan (fiancé Maizie) and Jolie Wehr, Alyssa and Austin Landgrebe and Wyatt, Klayton, Paxton, Quinton and Alexis Wehr; parents: Kenneth and Lois Fogle of Sigourney; and three sisters: Brenda Long of Pella, Crystal Fogle of Kansas and DeAnne Brinning of Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert Wehr; a daughter: Natasha Wehr; and nephew: Derek Long.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney, with Revs. Robert Lathrop and David Wilkening officiating. The service will also be livestreamed on the Powell Funeral Home facebook page. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sigourney. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at the church, where there will be a vigil service at 3 p.m.
