Pathway transitions to online learning

With the state’s public and private schools closed through April 30 by order of Gov. Kim Reynolds, Pathway Christian School has moved to online learning.

“Pathway Christian School is dedicated to continuing education for our students in spite of the school being closed,” Wanda Stutzman said in a message to The News. “Our parents pay tuition, and therefore we want to meet the needs of our students during this time.”

Stutzman said that the Pathway staff has been working to transition their lesson plans so students can continue learning from home.

“They have been emailing parents and setting up online learning,” she said. “The curriculum that Pathway uses, Bob Jones University, has video lessons available for each class and subject.

“Our families are currently home-schooling but using the tools BJ Press has provided.”

She added that teachers are grading tests as soon as student complete them and send them back to their teachers.

“We anticipate staying on schedule with most of our classes,” Stutzman said.
