Nina Bernice Miller was born Dec. 23, 1921, in Greene Township, Iowa County, Iowa, the daughter of Emery and Alice (Bender) Brenneman.  Nina attended Franklin school. She lived in the Wellman area her whole life. Nina worked as a waitress at Tiny Diner, Cappers and Hawk I Truck Stop for 13 years.

On Jan. 4, 1949, she was united in marriage to Paul L. Miller at West Union Mennonite Church. Nina was a lifetime member of West Union Mennonite Church. She enjoyed quilting. Nina passed away at her home on Dec. 23, 2020, at the age of 99 years.
She is survived by two daughters: Alice Theiler of Wellman and Donna (Dennis) Steele of Coralville; a granddaughter: Amanda Theiler of New York City, N.Y.; sisters-in-law: Norma Brenneman of Wellman, Cora Frey of Newton, Kan. and Emma Jean Miller of Kalona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister: LaFern (Ray)Yoder; two brothers: Willard (Ruth) and Orval Brenneman; one sister-in-law: Nettie (Truman) Schrock; and three brothers-in-law: Eldon (Gladys) Miller, Mahlon Frey, and Monroe Miller.

A celebration of life graveside service was held Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at West Union Cemetery, rural Parnell. Memorials may be given to West Union Mennonite Church, Goodwin Center in Wellman or Iowa City Hospice. Powell Funeral Home in Wellman is caring for Nina and her family.
