A career game by Mid-Prairie freshman guard Brooklyn Schneider helped the Golden Hawks win a second consecutive conference game Friday night.
Schneider, who is the top-scoring freshman in the River Valley South, scored 17 points as Mid-Prairie held off West Branch, 57-53, for its third conference win in four River Valley games.
Junior center Callie Huber scored a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Morgyn Bender, a freshman, added 11 points. Senior captain Nora Pennington had 10 points and 5 steals.
The Golden Hawks (4-2) play Tuesday night at Wilton (2-5).
