On Nov. 15, five members of the Mid-Prairie FFA chapter attended the Grow by FarmHer Conference in Ankeny at the Iowa FFA Enrichment Center.
Members had the opportunity to hear from FarmHer founder Marji Guyler-Alaniz during the welcome.
Half of the time in the morning session was spent interacting with the approximately 20 businesses present to learn more about internships and career opportunities for females in agriculture.
The rest of the morning was spent talking with female role models representing a wide cross section of careers in agriculture.
In the afternoon, members watched a live taping of the FarmHer TV show for RFD-TV.
