Mid-Prairie dance sweeps Division I ratings

Mid-Prairie was a perfect three-for-three last week at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association state competition.
They scored over 80 points out of 100 possible to easily clear the 75-point mark for a Division I rating in each of their categories.
Their best finish was in the Class VIII Pom category, where they were fifth in their division with a score of 85.6. Their highest average score was the 89 they received for their Class III Jazz routine. That score was good for sixth in their division.
The Golden Hawks scored a 80.4 average in Class V Hip Hop and placed sixth.
Lone Tree scored a Division I rating in two of their three routines. In Class III Pom, the Lions had a 90.9 average and placed sixth.
In Class I Lyrical they plaed fifth and had an 82.6 average rating by the judges.
Their only Division II rating was just barely so, scoring a 74.5 in Class I Jazz. That means they were only 0.5 away from a Division I rating.
The Highland team scored a Division II rating in Class IV Pom with a 71.6 average from the judges.
